Paula has an MSc in plant ecology, where she studied the epiphytic flora of the Atlantic Forest. She has since then been a data manager at the Reflora project hosted by Rio de Janeiro Botanic Garden and the New York Botanical Garden. She lives in the vicinity of RPPN Bacchus. She is currently part of the LifePlan project team at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), funded through a research partnership with the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

Role at ARAÇÁ: responsible for the collection and processing of samples and data under the Lifeplan-Rio project.
